Loads on every page of this site. It sets cookies in your browser (the _ga family) and sends Google: the pages you view, how long you stay, links and buttons you click, how far you scroll, your approximate location derived from your IP address, your browser and device type, and the site or search that referred you. It also records e-commerce events — viewing a product, adding to cart, completing a purchase — and a randomly generated client ID that lets Google recognize the same browser on later visits. Loads on every page of this site. Meta can match this to your Facebook or Instagram account if you have one. We use it to measure whether our ads work and to show ads to people who have already visited the site.

What our free tools do not do: the registration checker, voter ID lookup and margin visualizer link you out to official government portals. Anything you type into a state election site goes to that state, never to us. We never ask for your name, address, date of birth, driver's license number or Social Security number, and we could not store them if you gave them to us.
